Project Requirements

It’s no secret that sales vary when it rains or is cold. How nice would it be if we could already calculate this in advance? For a holistic overview of current sales, independent of location and with set goals. This is exactly the idea that Metro AG’s subsidiary Hospitality Digital (HD) pursued together with us, and we built a solution that uses the latest technologies to reconcile a wide variety of factors. A special requirement was not only the use of different components, but also the practicable application in the catering trade everyday life. Location-independent, with one or many branches, but still clear and user-friendly, the tool should be designed. As simple as possible to use and self-explanatory.

Our Solution

We talked to operators of franchises in the restaurant sector to find out which key figures are important to them. In doing so, we pursued the goal of automatically reconciling the information that is relevant to them and visualizing it in a bundled way that is as meaningful as possible. Above all, it should be possible to make forecasts about capacity utilization, sales and profitability. After solutions, such as including the weather, were qualified, we entered an iterative implementation phase. Here, we work in an agile manner to ensure continuous quality assurance and flexibility and are in permanent contact with users to continuously check assumptions.
