The Challenge

The food industry is one of the largest in Germany. Permanently increasing demands make it more and more difficult for smaller producers and traders to survive in this market. As a consequence, many smaller producers and traders have to go out of business every year, despite increasing overall sales. In contrast to the large corporations, the smaller companies often do not have the resources to realize the benefits of digitization for themselves as well and thus absorb the increasing demands on their operations.

Target Audience & Problem Solving

The target group is all those who have long distances to the supermarket or who lack the time to shop. Our idea is to offer farm store, bakery, butcher and supermarket under one roof. Everything can be ordered online, we bring it to your door. Or simply have your shopping delivered to a RegioHub. Time shows a trend: shopping online. But what does a regional, sustainable solution look like that meets the demands of “normal shopping”? Kleinstark has taken on this challenge. / Payment systemInvoicing and payment processing with Paypal, credit card, SEPA, Apple Pay and Google Pay, reliable and secure. / ScalingMaximum flexible and constantly expandable system with processing of numerous live data. / Interfaces & ConnectionsCommunication of various interfaces, data, information and systems. In particular, connection to the entire merchandise management system, which directs the warehouse management. / Warehouse & LogisticsIn addition to the technical product, a complete warehouse and logistics with corresponding infrastructure was built and developed.

Our Solution

In addition to user-friendly technology, supply chain management, merchandise management, product range selection and logistics were the main challenges that had to be met. Kleinstark now offers an app with a complete supermarket assortment, which can be paid for with Paypal, SEPA, credit card and many other options. An interface was also created for central administration, which also coordinates the processes of the specially built logistics. The process was accompanied by a close user exchange. Different environments had to be able to communicate with each other. In addition to continuous, agile improvements and additions on the technical side, the concepts were therefore repeatedly questioned and optimized both strategically and visually. Always with the highest demand on itself.
